Two strong earthquakes 07.01.1962. and 11.01.1962. magnitude M5,9, M6,1 under the sea, between islands of Brač and Hvar. Both were followed by many aftershocks, the strongest 11.01.1962. and 21.01.1962. M5,1 , M5,2. Strong underground thunders could be heard before the earthquake, stonefalls after, as well as new spring with muddy water near Trstenik and spring in Gradac turned red and blue. They were felt on the ships in the sea.
