Professor Norikazu Shimizu, (CV >>>), President of the International Society of Rock Mechanics (ISRM) and distinguished scientist at the Yamaguchi University, Yamaguchi, Japan, awarded by the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (>>>) has developed methodology for following the ground surface using satelites. He will present the application of this methodology to the biggest landslide in Zagreb and settlements of Tuzla, in the lecture organized by the Croatian Geotechnical Society and Croatian Geological Survey (>>>), on Sathurday, 19.05.2018. from 10:00 to 11, in the Croatian Geological Survey, Sachsova 2, Zagreb (>>>). Lecture Seizmic standards and civil engineering administration in Japan will be given by
Mr. Kazuhiro Hashimoto, president of the Japanese agency The Building Center of Japan, and
Mr. Toshiyuki Inoue, president of the organization Center for Better Living.
Lecture is organized by the Embassy of Japan in Croatia as one in the series of events in celebration of 25 years of diplomatic relations between Japan and Croatia.
