18th Nonveiller Lecture was given by Univ.Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Dietmar Adam, TU Wien, with the title Soil compaction and compaction control – state of the art, innovations and developments on 27.09.2022. starting at 13:00 in Zagreb, at the Faculty of Mining, Geology and Petroleum Engineering, Pierottijeva ul. 6.

Professor Adam started his lecture with giving honour to Professor Nonveiller
and Professor Terzaghi, whose student Professor Nonveiller was,
and reminding us of the series of other connections and encounters between the Croatian Geotechnical Society and his university, TU Wien.

To the final part of the lecture Professor Adam included his doctoral student who recently graduated, Olja Barbir PhD presented some of results of her investigations.
At the end, Professor Adam showed gratitude to our teachers, and engineers, and accentuated some of their messages: Professor Terzagi and Professor Nonveiller,
and to his many coworkers,
as well as to the Croatian Geotechnical Society for the conference OMIŠ 2019 in which he took part.
